Representatives from St. Croix Falls Wal Mart were on hand to present Noyd with the award, along with a $1,000 gift to the school.
Winning teachers at the regional level have the opportunity to advance to the state Wal Mart Teacher of the Year program, where the winner receives $10,000 for their school and advances to the national contest.
Noyd has taught in the Chisago Lakes School District since 1969.
Principal Joe Thimm was the first to congratulate Noyd on the honor and said she was very deserving of the award.
"You put any kid in her class and they will leave levels above where they were," he said. "She takes it upon herself to make sure they excel in reading and math."
