NBHS inducts new members into National Honor Society
NBHS inducts new members into National Honor Society
President Darren Brooke served as the Master of Ceremonies and Principal Brad Windschill delivered the welcoming address. The Induction Ceremony included the traditional candle lighting ceremony, featuring student speakers Amanda Johnson on Knowledge, Darren Brooke on Scholarship, Jessica Morgan on Leadership, Amanda Steele on Character, and Cassie Saunders on Service.
The new members were introduced with a slide show and comments by Stephanie Saxe, Kaitlyn Keller, Crystal Miller, Tommi Hollingsworth, and Ashley Johnson. Entertainment was provided by the North Branch Area High School Jazz Band and Harmonaires.
The returning members received their NHS pins from advisors Dave and Jan Kozlovsky. New members received their membership certificates from NHS officers Nicole Stark, Ashley Johnson and Rachel Torgerson.
The National Honor Society is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals to recognize and support students with outstanding qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
The North Branch NHS is actively involved in community service projects throughout the year.
