David W. "Homer" Johnson, Center City, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the age of 66.

David was born June 24, 1941, at Shafer, to Lillian and Wendell Johnson. January 7, 1967, he married Phyllis Grandstrand at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City.

He was a master carpenter and farmed. He enjoyed working his land, gardening and spending time with his friends.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, son Nathan, of Center City; daughter Nina and her husband Owen Kuhnly, of Lindstrom; grandchildren: Dalton and Danielle; sisters Pat (Dave) Johnson, of Mendota Heights, and Janet (Vincent) Reed of Verona, Wis.

Memorial services were Monday, Nov. 5, at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, with Rev. Craig Lundstad-Vogt, officiating. Music was provided by Christine Bjorklund and Jon Ekstrom.
