A multi-alarm fire erupted in one of the buildings housing Premier Marine, in Wyoming's industrial park, about 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

Departments from Stacy-Lent, Wyoming, Forest Lake, Chisago City, and Lindstrom were dispatched.

Lori Obar, Director of Operations, said the company operates out of several buildings in the industrial park, so boat production tasks that were most affected are being moved into other sites. There should be no loss of production, she added.

The fire started in a welding building where high performance tubing for the boats is fabricated. A state fire marshal was on the scene and is expected to make a report.

The structure was a total loss, Obar said, but there were no injuries sustained. Employees had returned to work by Monday this week.

Premier was rebounding from a large fire in March 2007, which leveled a different structure. That blaze was electrical in origin and started at an adjacent mattress factory company, spreading to a furniture-making operation and into one of Premier's facilities.
