Vikings manhandle smaller teams at HF Quad, finish 4th at BL Invite
The Vikings dominated the Hinckley-Finlayson quadrangular, handily beating all three teams they faced. They rolled over the host team 58-9, pounded Cloquet 54-27 and hammered Nashwauk-Keewatin 57-24. The tournament was held at Hinckley last Tuesday, December 8.
Six Vikings went 3-0 for the evening: Jake Pilz (119), Jake Kostik (125), Pat Mork (140), Stuart Frink (189), Justin Bergerson (215) and John Morrison (285). Frink had a great evening, pinning all three of his opponents in the first period.
"This was a better week for us," said Viking head coach Tony Aho. "Though we didn't face the type of competition that we saw last week, the guys did wrestle harder."
