Taylors Falls Elementary students found out that reading has its rewards in more ways than one, at the annual "Readers Are Winners" prize assembly May 14. Students were eligible for prizes at the end of the three-week program, after turning in signed slips verifying that they read at least 15 minutes a day, five out of seven days each week. Prizes included booklights, Target gift cards and Super Day passes at Wild Mountain water park. The grand prize was a new bicycle, donated by Lindstrom Hardware. The lucky winner was Taylor Tolzmann, pictured above receiving her certificate from Taylors Falls Parents For Education vice president Ashlyn Granfors. The TF Parents For Education sponsors the annual reading program to keep kids excited about reading throughout the summer. The school media center also sponsors a summer reading program.
