Wild Mountain again first in the Midwest to open slopes
Each year, the opening seems to come earlier and earlier, and with the beautiful weather this weekend, it only made sense to start making snow early and let people come out and enjoy the smaller hills before the real snowfalls come.
Not only is Wild Mountain the first hill to open in the Midwest, Vice President Amy Frischmon said she was pretty confident in saying that no other resorts or hills have even tried to start making snow.
With their hill opening this early, those other places might start thinking about making that snow.
All sorts of people came out for the opening weekend at Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls. In keeping with their tradition, Wild Mountain was the first hills in the Midwest to open any slopes for skiers and snowboarders.
