After his service in the army in WW II, Al began his career as a staff accountant for Tusler, Eng and Company in 1945. He retired as partner in the firm of Berg, Johnson and Bachynski in 1981 to become accountant and CFO for Plastic Products Company in Lindstrom.

He remained active in the company until his death. He was a faithful disciple of Christ and an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. He served the church in many capacities, but his passion was finance and stewardship, where he led by example. Al said he had been so blessed in life. We thank him for sharing those blessings and love with family, friends and those who will never know him.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home and Fri. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th St. NW, New Brighton.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.

Al donated his family's homestead in Taylors Falls to the Good Samaritan Society to be used in developing an assisted living facility for the Taylors Falls and St. Croix Falls communities. Memorials suggested to the ministry of the Good Samaritan Society of St. Croix Valley or Christ the King Lutheran Church. Special thanks to the entire staff at St. Croix Falls Hospital for all their kind, loving and excellent care.

"Well done thou good and faithful servant" (Mt 25:21)
