Daniel J. Mattheisen Sr. age 88, of Chisago City, MN died September 11, 2009 at his residence.

Dan was born on January 31, 1921 in Danvers, MN to parents Daniel and Teresa Mattheisen. Dan proudly served in both the Army as a Commander and in the Air Force as a Sergeant during WWII. His favorite pastimes were fishing and tinkering with his car. Dan was a Jack of many trades working as a heavy equipment operator for McGarry Brothers.

He is preceded in death by parents Daniel and Teresa (Darrington) Mattheisen.

Dan is survived by his son Daniel Mattheisen Jr. of North Branch. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. As well as special friends and caregivers at Ali's Elder Care in Chisago City.

Funeral service Monday September 14, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom at 10:30 a.m., with Visitation one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
