Sunrise Lake parcel access being sought, township to hold a cartway public hearing
Petitioners are paying for the township publication of notices, the hearing and related costs, he added. In this process the township is required to process the request. The County Planning Commission usually handles other zoning and land use issues in Chisago Lake Township. Petitioners include Donna and Richard Gurtek, Roger Peterson and Elizabeth Anderson.
The process allows for anyone who wants to propose an alternative route to file for an alternative route no less than 15 days before the public hearing date for establishing a "cartway." The public hearing is October 15, at the township hall.
To have the township consider an alternate route submit your notice describing the route to township clerk Eleanor Trippler, at P.O. Box 649, Lindstrom, MN 55045.
Froberg welcomed anyone with questions about the cartway and what reasons applicants might have for requesting it to attend the public hearing. He said it is not the township board's intention to act that same night on the application.
