The North Branch-Chisago Lakes ICE Robotics Team 3038 is getting ready to go for the 2011 season. Team 3038 is looking forward to defending their championship at the 10,000 Lakes Regional held at the University of Minnesota in the beginning of April. St. Jude Medical Foundation is the major sponsor of the team and has agreed to fund the entry fee again this year. Because this is a self-funded program and no school district money is used to support it, Team 3038 is selling holiday Christmas ornaments with the school logo on them. Ornaments are non-breakable and can be purchased at various athletic and music events at both schools as well as at the Activities Office. Ornaments are $7.00 each or $6 if you purchase two or more. All of the people working with the program are volunteer and no money is spent on salaries. Funds raised will be used to pay for transportation, training, and supplies needed to build the robot. The season officially kicks off on January 8, 2011 when the parts are available and the game is announced. Thank you for your support.
