Changes to some county road signs

Changes to some county road signs
Changes to some county road signs

Maybe you have been noticing the dual signage on county roadways in the south half of the county...the signs are posted to inform citizens the numbers were changed to re-align the road system for better utilization of state aid.

County Road numbers that changed include: Manning Trail from the Washington County line to Green Lake Trail is now 15, it was 99. The road number now matches up with #15 through Washington County. ~ The small stretch of County Road 24 along the south end of Green Lake, to where it meets Chisago Boulevard, is now #23. A second longer segment of County Road 24 starting at the Washington County line to Green Lake, is renumbered as 23. ~ Chisago Boulevard-- which used to be #83, (signage pictured) is now #23. Chisago Boulevard runs east-west between Lindstrom off Olinda to Chisago City. ~ Kost Trail was also re-numbered. It is now #11. The proper names of the roads have not been changed, just the numbers used to identify the roadways in the numbering system.
