Ten Chisago Lakes High School Juniors and Seniors attended the DECA Central Region Leadership Conference in Dec. in Chicago, Illinois. The conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Chicago and was attended by 2,500 students representing the 13 schools within the central region for DECA. Highlights included a phenomenal opening session by David Garibaldi combining his artistic talents with a moving message about following your passion. Friday's activities included several high energy and interactive leadership sessions with high ranking executives from national businesses throughout the day followed by a performance by The Blue Man Group at the Briarstreet Theatre in the evening. Attendees also had the opportunity to sightsee and visit downtown Chicago's Navy Pier, The Magnificent Mile of shopping, Macy's Flagship store on State Street, The Sears Tower, and many popular local restaurants.
