Dress warm, bring the family to the annual Celebration of the Lakes
Mark your calendars for the Annual Celebration of the Lakes event, the weekend of January 29-31. Most events are held on North Center Lake - just off Highway 8 in Center City. The winter festival includes spectacular Hot Air Balloons, a 5K Run/Walk, Sled Dog Rides, a Vintage Snowmobile Display, Helicopter Rides, Snowmobile Races, ATV and Motorcycle Races, Belgium Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides, a night of Old Time Movies, Kiddie Parade, Ice Skating, Pond Hockey Tournament, Frozen Golf, an Ice Fishing Contest, Medallion Hunt, Auto Racing, a Chili Contest, Games and plenty of activities for all ages. A heated concession tent is headquarters for hot drinks, grilled foods and snack items - including hot fresh mini-donuts and kettle corn. This is a great way to get out and enjoy the winter!
