June 2 a 25-year-old Harris man was cited for ATV offenses after a deputy attempted to stop the operator about 11 p.m. and the suspect fled.
June 5 theft of a tailgate from a vehicle parked in a Rush City driveway, on 5th St. West.
June 7 a Harris man, identified as Luke Newham, 44, was hurt when his motorcycle struck a deer about midnight, while southbound on I-35.
June 10 a burglary was discovered at the gas station at I-35 and the #17 interchange in Lent Township. The Tesoro station/convenience store was entered sometime overnight, and the damage was reported to authorities about 4 a.m. June 10.
A sheriff's department spokesperson described the incident as a smash and grab, where glass windows or doors are broken and items taken quickly. In this case it was cigarettes, lottery tickets and cash.
Authorities have surveillance video of the vehicle believed to have been involved and are looking for four men. The car is a white four-door Grand Prix.
The MS 150 bike ride came through Chisago County from an overnight stop at Hinckley, en route to White Bear Lake over the weekend. A multi-bike crash had sheriff's deputies lending assistance. The bike riders crashed near the Rush City Correctional Facility, June 13 about 8 a.m. Reportedly one rider hit a hole in the roadway. Emergency ambulance crews handled the injury care.
A truck fire was reported about 1:30 p.m. June 13 at Greenway Avenue and Hwy. 8. (See submitted picture.)
June 13 a rollover crash was reported about 4 p.m. on Olinda Trail and 260th in Franconia Township. The incident involved a 33-year-old woman driver from Scandia. No information was available on her condition.
