Hundreds of students and families attended the North Branch Middle School History Day open house. The History Day Project is a rigorous research activity that takes place over several weeks in 8th grade American History. Kirstin Perales and Pam Newbauer worked with students and guided them through this process.

There are 23 students moving on to the regional competition taking place in Duluth on March 6. If any local students advance to state, that event is at Coffman Union at the Minneapolis campus of the U on May 1.

Pictured are students whose projects are moving on to regionals in no particular order: Madeline Alden, Savanna Johnson, Miranda Eckholm, Abby Hendren, Erin Toohey, Mikayla Carlson, Sarah Romo, Ceyera Kraemer, Brieanna Keocher, Andrew Peterson, Erin Engstran, Kaitlyn Johnson, Valerie Weekes, Casey Hovland, Ella Silver, Mackenzie Pendergrass, Samantha Plante, Kora Amunrud, Tony Turitto, Emily Nelson, Noah Hubbard, Sami Weiss.
