The Chisago Lakes boys basketball team, including the varsity, junior varsity and freshman team, all chipped in last week to pack bags of food that are being sent around the world for people in need.

The program was especially impressive as over 90 percent of the teams turned out, despite the effort being voluntary, CL Head Coach Herb Jangor said. "We had a great time working together," he said. "And that's the kind of effort we need to beat other teams!"

The program was made possible through the hard work of the student athletes, and Jangor couldn't have been more proud of his squads, despite their struggles on the court this year. "There's more to this program than just playing basketball," he said. "We have a lot of programs that these athletes do and the community doesn't always see that side."
