Pearl H. Nehl, age 90, of North Oaks on April 30, 2010.

Beloved mother, grandmother and wife. Preceded in death by husbands, George Nehl and Rodney Swenson; son, Raymond Swenson; grandson, Rodney Swenson; nine brothers and three sisters. Survived by children, Cindy Axelson, Michael (Robin) Nehl, Joel (Angelica) Nehl and Louise (Michael) Zemlicka; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Cox, Wayne Hacken and Carol Annabel.

Pearl was a 50 year resident of Lindstrom and owner of the Curl & Swirl Salon. She was an avid gardener, a great cook and enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing and quilting. Pearl spent many years serving her church, Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. She was on the church board, taught Sunday school classes, assisted with church dinners and participated in jail ministries. After retirement, she and her husband George shared a love of traveling, spending many winters in Tucson, Arizona. They traveled to Alaska, the Gulf Coast and to Lake Michigan for salmon fishing expeditions. They also visited their children and other family members a number of times in Oregon and California. Pearl's greatest passion was for family and friends. No matter how busy she was, she would always have time for her loved ones, whether they were her brothers and sisters, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren or the many friends she made during her years in Lindstrom or during her travels.

Mom, you will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral services were Tuesday May 4, at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be left at www.grandstrandfh.com.
