The Chisago Lakes School District sent five teams, four from Lakeside School and one from Taylors Falls Elementary, to the Math Masters Competition in Barron, Wisconsin on April 30th. The competition consisted of 24 teams of five fifth-graders participating in basic fact drills and problem solving rounds. The Chisago Lakes students were very successful at the competition in both individual and team rounds. Seventeen students representing Chisago Lakes placed within the top 20 during the individual rounds and all five teams placed in the top ten, including the Lakeside White team placing 1st, the Lakeside Green team placing 2nd, and the Taylors Falls team placing 4th out of the 24 teams. It was a great showing for the Chisago Lakes schools!
