With plenty of teams in the conference, it's not the worst spot to be in, but one that certainly could be better.
The Vikings' scores dipped a bit in their lone meet of the week, as they finished with a 215, which was well off of Totino-Grace's 204 that placed them in fifth place.
Katie Foley continued her dominance of the North Branch golf scene with a 48 in nine at Majestic Oaks. Fellow senior Lauren Ibinger was right behind her, carding a 52 on the day.
"We played OK, but, outside of Katie and Lauren, we didn't score like we hoped," Head Coach Dave Ambers said. "The course was in good condition, and they had cut the deep rough that gave us so much trouble the last time we were there."
Despite the changes for the better, North Branch still struggled after their top two golfers.
Emily Juve carded a 56 to come in third place on the time, and Laurel Dresel barely broke 60, registering a 59 as the fourth golfer to finish for North Branch.
Alyssa Ramberg shot a 60 as she just finished outside of the varsity scoring for North Branch. Cassedy Coleman shot a 62 in the fifth spot for North Branch.
Irondale won the meet again, but the gaps are narrowing. The Knights won with a 187, but Benilde-St. Margaret's was right behind with a 192. St. Louis Park was the only other team to break 200, as they carded a 197 to finish in third place. St. Francis finished fourth with a 200.Lauren Ibinger studies a putt before she takes the shot for North Branch.
