A group of Chisago Lakes Middle School students, staff members and parents recently returned from a four day trip to Washington D.C. The trip was organized and supervised by the Middle School staff, but funded solely by the participating families.

History lessons came to life as the group ventured to the top of the Washington monument, and visited sites such as: the White House, Capitol, Holocaust Museum, Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt Memorials, the Korean, World War II and Vietnam War Memorials, the Bureau of Engraving, the National Archives, the Library of Congress, The National Gallery of Art, The Smithsonian Museums, Union State and Ford's Theater.

Four lucky Chisago students were randomly chosen to present a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Arlington National Cemetery on behalf of the Chisago Lakes Schools.
