Nicole Jack has joined the Chisago Lakes High School Special Education team as the Work Experience Teacher/Transition Coordinator. Previously she served as a Vocational Coordinator and Assistant Principal for students with disabilities at Belleville East and Belleville West High Schools in Belleville, IL. Nicole and her husband Chris are both from River Falls, WI and currently reside in the Twin Cities metro area. She looks forward to meeting her students and to becoming more familiar with the area as well as getting to know community members.

Chase Evertz recently graduated from Bemidji State University. He has a Secondary Life Science and Middle School Science License along with a Biology Major and Chemistry Minor. He will be teaching Biology and Science 9 at Chisago Lakes High School this fall. He is very excited to be a part of this community and to share in what the Chisago Lakes area has to offer. Evertz is looking forward to sharing his knowledge in the science classroom and helping students expand their interest of science.

Kristin Irwin is the new Check-n-Connect Coordinator and Intervention Specialist at Chisago Lakes Middle School. She recently graduated with her master's in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, where she focused her studies on helping adolescents do their best in school despite whatever life may throw at them. She is a Licensed School Counselor and this fall will become a Licensed Professional Counselor as well. She specializes in implementing academic, behavioral, and social interventions that uniquely meet students and their families where they are at. Irwin is excited to join the outstanding team at CLMS and to work with the wonderful kids in this community.

Kristin Lippitt will be the new Math Interventionist/ Media Supervisor at Chisago Lakes High School! She will be teaching the GRAD math course which focuses on preparing students for the MCA Math test and will be helping out in the area of technology as a member of the Media staff. She grew up in Superior, WI, and went to college at the University of MN, Twin Cities. Over the past few years she has worked as a member of the Osseo and Eden Prairie Math Departments. This will be her fourth year of teaching and she is very excited to be a Wildcat!

Krista Kujala will be the new Speech Language Pathologist at the Chisago Lakes Middle School. She is looking forward to becoming a part of the great educational team in the Chisago Lakes Schools that is so dedicated to the success of all their students. In May 2010, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a master's degree in communicative disorders. Her bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders was completed at the St. Cloud State University in 2008. She is originally from Chisholm, Minnesota and recently moved to White Bear Lake.

Deb Schuler is thrilled to be teaching at the Fairview School which is part of the Fairview Education Center in Chisago City. She has been employed for several years as a behavior specialist at the Middle School and is currently getting a Masters in Special Education with dual license in EBD and LD. She and her husband are empty nesters who enjoy camping, biking, traveling and being out in their boat.
