POW - MIA Day

POW - MIA Day
POW - MIA Day

Friday morning September 17, a group of North Branch V.F.W. Post #6424 veterans accompanied two members of V.F.W. Aux., president Valerie Nelson and Americanism Chr. Phyllis Lindberg to the North Branch School to present a program on Pow-MIA day.

The fifth grade assembled with their teachers and principals in the east cafeteria. The post representative presented the colors and leg the pledge to the American Flag. Valerie Nelson then presented the explanation of P.O.W and M.I.A. followed by an explanation of the displayed P.O.W - M.I.A. table and its items, chairs which is a significant reminder to all of us to "Never forget" those veterans who are left behind and not found or won't come home. The POW-MIA flag was displayed by the men and explained by Valerie. The program will leave a memorable imprint on the minds of the wonderfully attentive audience of fifth graders. The Post and Auxiliary sincerely commend the parents and teachers on a job "well done" with these beautiful young people and future leaders of our country.
