Alvin J. Marcotte, "Chief", father and grandfather, age 89 of Lindstrom, formerly of St. Paul. Passed away peacefully February 5, 2011.

Preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Edwall Marcotte, sisters, Violet and Hazel and son, David. Survived by sons, Michael (Susan), Gary, James (Ronnie), and Daniel (Julie); grandchildren, Garrett, Kaylen, Marielle, Mackenzie and Elsie; sister, Florence Rasset (Chuck). Also survived by Kendis Heffley, daughter, Kathleen Skalicke and her children, Shandra, Scott, Steve (Hannah) and Todd (Lisa). Alvin was a decorated member of the "Tough Hombres", Purple Heart Recipient, 90th Infantry Division of the 3rd Army. He loved his family, fishing and the Lake, the twins and escaping Minnesota winters.

Service will be Friday, Feb. 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Avenue So. with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans.
