North Branch Area Public Schools school board member Kirby Ekstrom was recently recognized for his many hours of service to North Branch Area Public Schools. During a luncheon at the Minnesota School Board Association's (MSBA) leadership conference, Ekstrom, on the NBAPS school board since 1999, was given the President's Award, which represents over 300 hours of training and attendance at MSBA and National School Board's Association events. Ekstrom was presented the award by MSBA past president Jackie Magnuson, an Apple Valley - Rosemount school board member.
