The 2011 Environmental Art Class completed the annual mural, 16 seniors painted a Wildcat themed mural in the Ward Gym at the high school. Inspired by the wrestling booster to add something exciting for fans to look at during matches the Wildcats breaking through the walls idea was born. The mural class paints during the second term and completed the painting January 21. The artists pictured are, from left to right: Caleb Johnson, Vince Martinez, Courtney Stene, Kourtney Critelli, Sarah Nelson, Donyal Eret, Leah Bentfield, Megan Ellis, Rachael Gjerdingen, James Martin, Morgan Bergson, Melinda Snell, Ashley Caudill, Lindsey Trosdahl, and Kansas Gallagher. Not pictured Liz Vang.

Each member of the class had to come up with their own version of what the mural should look like, then once decided, a color scheme is planned and the painting begins.

"This was a very talented group of kids, they were willing to take on the parameters of this mural to be very school spirited and the details of the mural had to be exact to really make it look like the cats were 3D and believable. I am proud of the commitment the students put in and how the final product turned out. We have already had lots of compliments on the mural and thank the wrestling booster for being so supportive."
