The St. Croix Harley crew came to Parmly LifePointes campus in Chisago City again, the second year the group has provided motorcycle sidecar rides to care center residents.

The event is getting more popular each time. Christy Johnson, recreational therapist, organizes the day for the residents. Observers and riders line the entry area and await their turn or just cheer on the riders. Root beer floats are served for refreshment.

Harley Davidson dealers Dell and Ginger Zehm brought two Ural motorcycles and Dell and Denny Bray operated the bikes as rides were given. Urals are Russian-made bikes with a BMW style that are distributed by Harley Davidson.

Parmly staff bundled about 25 residents in jackets and goggles for the breezy bike tour. In her brightly-colored jacket Lillian Pepin, at 102, was ready for an adventure. In her hot pink scarf Edna Goranson got a send-off from her daughters. June Noren climbed aboard and is pictured with Ron Rollins of the North Branch Legion Riders, and her driver Dell. American Legion Riders lent a hand helping get riders into sidecars and assisting in general.
