Virginia L. Luger, a long-time resident of the Lindstrom area, passed away in her home Tuesday, March 15 at the age of 74.

Virginia was born May 21, 1936 at Shafer, MN to Roy and Astrid Lifgren. She graduated from Chi Hi in 1954. On February 4, 1967 she married Robert (Bob) Luger at Zion Lutheran Church. Virginia worked in the insurance and healthcare fields in various administrative positions through the years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, collecting, bird-watching and spending time with family and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Astrid, as well as her brother Robert (Bobby) Lifgren. She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob), son Steve (Elaine) Lifgren of Lindstrom, daughters Shelli (Eric) Ness of North Branch and Connie (Richard) Miller of Lindstrom; grandchildren Abbey (Will), Andrew, Miranda, Melinda and Amelia, as well as great-grandson Connor.

Visitation was Monday, March 21, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Private interment in the Methodist Cemetery in Center City will follow at a later date.
