It's always great when an event lives up to its billing and the Chisago Lakes Area High School Variety Show did just that-- it was definitely packed with variety.

The 42nd annual event showcased everything from classical music to rock and showtunes, with lots of dance and humor, provided by groups and individuals.

Memorable moments included a sweet acoustic guitar arrangement of "Easy Like Sunday Morning" performed by Vince Martinez. Who knew such a talented rap artist (Danny Kimlinger) was walking among us? And the blazing Shaleen-Boudin dance routine was impossible to catch on a still camera.

Such amazing talent-- and nicely packaged by Laura Moldenhauer and Josh Anderson. This community is fortunate to have both a venue the quality of the high school's performing arts center, and passionate instructors willing to go the extra mile to create this opportunity.
