Anne was born and raised in St. Paul, and graduated from Macalester College. She worked in Social Work at the Haight Ashbury Clinic in San Francisco, Calif., Welcome Home Group Home, Brooklyn Center, MN., Ramsey County, MN. and 19 years as a Probation Officer in Chisago County, MN. Anne knew she couldn't change the world, but was determined to strive to help those who resided in the small corner she could reach. Anne's interests were wide and varied. She was dedicated in her profession and strived to help clients improve their lives. She loved reading, cooking and gardening and her vegetables and flowerbeds were well known by many of the locals. Anne loved fishing and went on an annual fishing trip with her closest girlfriends. Anne and her husband traveled extensively and visited Mexico every year. Above all else, Anne loved her children and always wanted the best for them. Anne had a great sense of humor and despite her struggle to beat her illness, she could always find something to laugh about. The grace and dignity with which she faced her battle is a lesson for us all. She will be sorely missed, but will live on through the memories of the people whose lives she touched.
