North Branch Area Public Schools held its third annual community Service Day on Friday, May 20. Numerous acts of community service were performed from Harris to Stacy, and North Branch to Sunrise Twsp., from road clean-up to planting flowers and from concerts to cleaning wax out of candle holders.

Above photo: One of the more unusual tasks performed during Community Service Day, Distance Learning students Collin Geist, Casey Hooper, Emily Hooper, and Anna Geist cleaned wax out of thousands of candle holders used to light the Relay for Life walk. To pass the time, the students sang nostalgic TV themes like Gilligan's Island.
