Ella Rose Baxter age 86, died Sept. 12, 2011 at her home in Mount Dora, Florida. She was unable to recover from a recent surgery for intestinal cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Thompson Baxter in 2007 after 61 years of marriage, her brother Gene Harris and sister Winifred Goodman.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Baxter Chudek of Chisago City, MN, her three grandchildren Jennifer Connolly, Erin Immel and Michael Immel, four great grandchildren Sage Lee, Evan Immel, Caitlyn Connolly, D. Lee and her other daughter Frances Goodman, who lives in Florida.

Ella resided in Lake County Florida for the past 48 years. Ella and her husband Tom retired and moved to Lake County after selling their chain of retail businesses in south Florida. They enjoyed the remaining years living on Lake Eustis boating and fishing.

A memorial service will be held at Grandstrand Funeral Home at 11900 Lake Lane North, Lindstrom, MN September 29, 2011 at 6:30. All family members and friends of the family are invited to attend. The family is requesting that no flowers be sent to the service, to honor Ella's wishes.
