Christopher Charles Lifgren, age 37, passed away at Regions Hospital on April 19, 2012, from complications related to a six month battle with Leukemia.
Chris was a 1993 graduate of St. Croix Falls High School where he enjoyed playing football, wrestling, and baseball. He loved hanging out with friends and was always trying to make people smile. He later obtained his Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Science University, Bloomington MN. Chris was also the proud owner of Cityview Hardwoods which installed, sanded, and repaired all types of hardwood flooring in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. His great work ethic, attention to detail and his creative eye brought him great success in his company.
Chris had a passion for golf where he spent many hours during the summer mastering the game. He took pride in earning his black belt in martial arts and just recently was looking to begin his own dojo with a friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, bowhunting, and most of all spending time with his two black labs, Ralphy and Bill.
Chris is survived by his father, Charles (Linda) Lifgren, St. Croix Falls WI, mother Susan Newell, Tucson AZ, sister Andria (Shawn) Ellingson and niece and nephew Lauren and Zachary Ellingson all of Ada MN, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins from the surrounding area. He was preceded in death by his twin sisters Lifgren.
There will be a luncheon held at noon Sunday April 29, at the Chisago City Community Center, Chisago City MN, with a program to honor Christopher at 1:30 p.m., followed with an afternoon of remembrance until 4 p.m.
