Joretta J.  Machmeier

Joretta J. Machmeier, age 81 of Chisago City, died on December 4, 2012. The home fire of our family has been dimmed by the passing of our beloved wife and mother. Her strong, gentle spirit and tender, loving presence will be missed and remembered. Jetty was an avid painter, gardener, world-traveler and most important to her, a home-maker. She expressed her love of her Lord, her husband, family and friends through her daily care and concern for others. She is preceded in death by parents Paul and Wilhelmine Gibson and step-mother Lillian Skoug Gibson; siblings Natalie, David, Daniel, Meredith, Robert and Ronald. Joretta is survived by husband Roger; children Philip (Deb) Machmeier, Bruce Machmeier, and Ann Machmeier; grandchildren Peter Machmeier, Samantha Hinkley Machmeier, Elizabeth Machmeier, and William Machmeier; siblings Kathryn (Larry) Smith, Steven (Carol) Gibson, and Paul Michael Gibson; sisters-in-law Mary Lee Smith and Debbie Broadwater; nieces and nephews Kirk Breen, Kara Waterman, Nathan Smith, Jeff Smith, Adam Gibson, and Tressa Kelly. Funeral Services 10 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in St. Croix Falls, WI. Interment at Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi, WI.
