Trailer stolen from Habitat for Humanity worksite in Grantsburg
The trailer is a key part of Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity's program to help serve low income families and provide the opportunity of home ownership in Polk and Burnett Counties. The trailer held job site tools and a lot of materials for this project. The trailer and contents were covered by insurance but with a total deductible of $5,500. The funds to cover the deductible will need to be diverted from the program funds, making it more difficult to help as many families as possible. This should be a season of joy, not of loss and sadness.
The lettering on the sides of the walls had been removed but you could still see the words from the adhesive left behind.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Grantsburg Police Department at 715-463-2405.
