Lakeside Elementary is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Chisago Lakes Area Community Fund to support its Class Connect program. The funding will help strengthen instruction that teaches students essential skills for success both in and out of the classroom.

Through daily Life Skills lessons, students learn how to solve problems, manage conflicts, collaborate effectively with others, and regulate stress and emotions. These skills help create a positive school climate while preparing students for future academic and personal success.

"We are grateful to the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation for investing in our students and supporting this important work. Our Class Connect time provides students with tools they can use every day to build healthy relationships, make responsible decisions, and thrive in school and beyond."

“Lakeside Elementary thanks the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation for its partnership and commitment to supporting the well-being and growth of local students,” said Principal Sarah Johnson.

The Chisago Lakes Area Community Fund is now accepting grant applications for the fall grant cycle. Applications are being accepted through September 15, 2026. This year the foundation is accepting applications written for up to $5,000. These grants will be awarded to non-profits or an individual or organization sponsored by a 501(c)(3) within the Chisago Lakes Area School District.

The CLACF is planning The Great Community Tailgate fall event for September 24, from 5-9 p.m. at Wild Mountain Event Center. This will be a fun filled night with dinner, drinks, games, silent auction and fall grant awards Tickets will be available for purchase for $45 through CLACF and Rotary members.
