Geraldine M. Palmer

Geraldine M. “Geri” Palmer, age 75 of Lindstrom, passed away peacefully February 19, 2012.

Geri was born to parents Vernon and Rose Delima Olson on August 25, 1936 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  She grew up in White Bear Lake and  married Robert W. Palmer on April 30, 1960.  They moved to Lindstrom where Bob and Geri ran a business, raised four children and were very involved in the Lindstrom community.  Geri’s favorite thing was being a stay at home Mom, always there for her children, and later being a grandmother.  Bob and Geri spent a lot of quality time together in the later years.  She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting.

Geri is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; her sister Mary Sawka; several brothers-in-law; niece Jodell Blumenthal; nephew Jack Blumenthal; and a son-in-law Ron Radi.

She is survived by her daughters RoseMarie Radi, Louise Palmer, and Linda Palmer; her son Robert Jr. (Jill); granddaughters Jessica and Jenna Palmer, and great grandson Charles Luttinen; siblings JoAnn Blumenthal, Marleen Creighton, Joyce May, Robert Olson, Nancy (Wayne) Cartier, and Sharon (Lowell) Lundeen; sisters-in-law Betty (Dennis) Anderson and Patrice (David) Carpenter; and many nieces and nephews.  

Memorial Service 3 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at the Parmly LifePointes Chapel in Chisago City, Minnesota.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at Parmly.  A private interment will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Condolences may be left online at  www.Grandstrandfh.com.
