The Tate Publishing Company is holding a book pre-release party at the Dinnerbel, in Lindstrom, January 13 celebrating Angie Bennett's novel-- Losing Grip.

The Chisago Lakes teacher has just published her first book, written for the teen audience, which makes perfect sense because Bennett teaches eighth grade English, at Chisago Lakes Middle School.

The story, she says, is partially based on her own life experiences but is a work of fiction. The main character in the book, Samantha, is guarding a secret and only her brother appears to be equipped to help her. Or does she eventually overcome by relying just on her own inner strengths? You'll have to read it to find out.

Bennett, of rural Center City, is already at work on her second novel.

Losing Grip is available in paper and ebook formats. See www.tatepublishing. com/bookstore or attend a book signing party locally.

The January 13 Dinnerbel event starts at 3 p.m. The Chisago Lakes Area Library is also scheduling a meet and greet with Bennett for a date in February, watch for details.
