Beverly Jean Kopecky, age 76, of Lindstrom, MN passed away Feb. 28, 2012 in Stillwater, MN.
She is preceded in death by husband John and brother Don Calvert.
Beverly was born on July 16, 1935 in Sioux City, IA to parents Earl and Helen (Fry) Calvert.  She graduated from East High School in 1954 and attended Morningside College from 1955 – 1956.  She married John D. Kopecky on August 19, 1956 and spent her life as a full time mom for eight children and after the last child entered grade school, she began her career as a secretary, clerical, and special delivery person.  
Beverly and John started out in Sioux City, IA, then moved to Vermillion, SD and had their first child;  moved to Culver City, CA and had their second child;  moved to South Bend, IN and had their third child; then moved to White Bear Lake and had their next five children. They then moved to Palm Harbor FL; back to White Bear Lake, MN; then to Dachtel, Germany; to Plymouth, MN; Albuqu- erque, NM; and finally to Lindstrom, MN to retire. 
Beverly enjoyed raising eight children, bird watching, nature walks, gardening, Sunday drives, traveling, bus tours, coffee with friends, bible study, and time at the cabin with family. 
She is survived by children Jim (Amy), Lyn (Greg), Bill (Teri), Jean (Stan), Paul (Shiaoling), Dick (Kristine), Dawn (Rich), Bob (Shannon); 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren (and one much anticipated); brothers Duane (Julie) Calvert, Dick (Jean) Calvert, and sister-in-law Jan Calvert.  
Memorial services were Sunday March 4 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with Pastor Jim Fan, officiating.  Private interment services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA in July. Condolences   may be left at www.grand strandfh.com.
