Recycled Wardrobes, makes giving to community easy

“Recycling with a purpose” has been the goal of Recycled Wardrobes since 1990. The 8th annal Prom Dress Fundraising Event that the business hosts, provided hundreds of dresses for young ladies in the community at one low price. Then, 100 percent of those proceeds are distributed to local church programs, this year these were; The Sharing Shop, Winter outerwear Fair, North Branch United Methodist Church Fellowship Gathering and Interfaith Hospitality. Local businesses partnered to offer the prom dress package with Recycled Wardrobes: these were Renee Lynn Photography, Meredee’s, Totally You, Designers, Chisago Nails, Hair Design, Hair Waves, A Bead-i-ful Place, Forest Lake Dry Cleaning, the Threaded Needle and the Chisago County Press. Deann Alsaker, owner of Recycled Wardrobes, said, “It’s easy to see that local small businesses work hard to have something to share. Our staff has a lot of fun with this event and we appreciate everyone who participates. Good business and good works define us,” she added.
