Bus drivers are the best

Hunt’s Transportation Service of Lindstrom, announced that school bus driver Denise D. Brandt, of Shafer, competed in the National School Transportation Association International competition held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Brandt has driven for Hunt’s Transportation since December 2008. She competed at the Minnesota School bus rodeo during June 2012 in Duluth Minnesota and qualified to attend the International Competition. Dave Webb, General Manager at Hunt’s said, “She is a very dedicated school bus driver, takes her duties very seriously and makes us proud that she competed at the international competition.” The competition consisted of 37 drivers from the United States and Canada. Written tests along with actual driving of a large school bus doing turns, backing, obstacle course, student pick-up and drop offs. According to the National School Transportation Association the purpose of the safety competition program is to improve driving skills, and alertness, to develop a more thorough understanding of the school bus driving profession, and to further highway safety programs. Robert Hunt, owner of Hunt’s Transportation said, “Safety is a very high priority for this company” He thanks Brandt for her extra effort in developing herself as a professional school bus driver. Mr. Hunt also wanted to say that he thanks all his staff and drivers for their continued commitment to safety.
