David Richter

David D. Richter, age 62, of North Branch, died Sunday July 14 at Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming.

David was born on May 29, 1951 in Anoka and raised by parents Allen “Bud” and Icy Kask. He attended Chisago Lakes schools and graduated in 1969. David went on to marry Denise on April 3, 1971 at St. Bridget’s of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom. Later on, David served the United States as a member of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. During his lifetime, he worked as a lineman for the telephone company and also enjoyed gardening and wood working. David’s ultimate joy was spending time with his 12 grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife, Denise; sons, Justin (Paula) Richter of Shoreview, Travis (Jessica) Richter of North Branch; daughter Heather (Keith) Magnison of North Branch; parents, Allen “Bud” and Icy Kask of Chisago City; brothers, James Richter of Turtle Lake, WI, Michael (Louise) Richter of Nixon, MT, Daniel Richter of Osceola, WI, Gerald (Charlene) Richter of Chisago City, and John Kask of Chisago City; sisters, Susan (William) Myrick of Chisago City, Lisa (Michael) Hughes of Chisago City; grandchildren, Alexa, Ashley, Hailey, George, Chloe, Mckenzie, Austin, Sophie, Brady, Noah, Peyton, and Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Richter. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 19, 2013 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Dale Stiles officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Private family interment. Arrangements under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
