David M. Furman

David M. Furman “Unky Dave”, age 51 of North Branch, died on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

David was born in Columbia, South Carolina to parents Joseph and Lillian (Berman) Furman. The family moved to New York City shortly after his birth and that is where David grew up and attended school. David worked as a bus driver for many years. He married Theresa Mochi on April 1, 1984 in New York City, New York. David and Theresa moved to Minnesota in 1988 to be near his parents and in 1995 moved to North Branch where he has since resided and also worked as a bus driver for the school district. David was an avid Ham Radio operator and was part of this extended family. He was known as a “tech genius” by his family as he could operate and fix anything when it came to this field.

David is survived by his wife, Theresa; his parents in law, Robert and Jacqueline Mochi; sisters in law, Janet and Anthony Harding and Nora and Carl Mannuccia, brother in law, Robert and Karen Mochi and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Pastor Frank Gomes officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
