Lakes Area Police had a couple of incidents involving fires and rules not being followed for recreational fires. The size and hours for a recreational fire are limited and authorities went to an oversized one at Akerson Street/Court November 11 to extinguish it. If you plan on having a recreational fire check on the city ordinance where you live first. A brush fire at 243rd was reported about 7 p.m. November 17.

November 11 a dog bite in rural Chisago City was reported to Lakes Area Police. The dangerous dog designation will be dealt with under process by ordinance. If the animal is so-designated and if there is a second offense the local government can require the dog be removed or place restrictions on animal freedoms.

A $48 drive-off from Holiday gas station in Lindstrom reported about 1:15 a.m. The driver was located and arrested.

November 15 there was a false alarm at the Chisago Lakes Middle School, at 1:45 p.m. The principal met an officer arriving on scene and explained the situation before trucks were dispatched.

Deputies were sent to a rollover crash November 14 at Lent Trail on Forest Blvd. in Lent Township. The incident was reported a little after midnight. A male driver was extricated from his vehicle that landed in the east ditch; by Stacy-Lent fire department responders, and he faces DUI charges.

A foreclosure homesite in Stacy was the scene of theft. The bank was reporting stolen kitchen cabinets, plumbing fixtures and furnace for at least a $12,000 loss.
