Mae E. (Klein) Brown

Mae was born November 30, 1921 in Lincoln County, Minnesota, to Fred and Sadie McArdell. She was one of four children, two boys and two girls. She spent her early tears on a farm in Lincoln County. At 19, she married Joseph A. Klein, they had 7 children. Later they moved to Shafer, Minnesota, where she lived the rest of her life. She married Raymond A. Brown later in life. Mae worked as a cook for 40 years in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Mae is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Sadie McArdell; her two brothers Frank and Herbert McArdell; sister Mary, husband Joseph A. Klein; husband Raymond A. Brown; and son Joseph A. Klein Jr. Mae is survived by sons: Richard (Carol Chouinard) Klein; William Klein and Donald (Patricia) Klein; Mae’s daughters: Jane (David) Thomson of Iowa, Carol (Raymond) Tourville, and Kathryn Larsin; and one adopted son; Bob. Mae has 30 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Catholic services will be held later for the family. There will be a remembrance of Mae’s life on November 2, 2013 at the Legion Post 142 in St. Croix Falls from 1 to 6 p.m. Thanks to the staff of Sophie Manor Home for all the love you gave mom.
