On Monday, August 26, the North Branch-Chisago Lakes FIRST Robotics Team 3038 participated in a demonstration/competition and the parade at the Minnesota State Fair. It was a very hot day but two coolers of ice kept Team 3038 on top of their game for the entire day. After three rounds of competition, Team 3038 came out on top scoring 61 points followed by Isanti County 4-H with 51 and Eagan High School with 47.
Teams competed in 3 frisbee shooting challenges, a parking exercise, and a game of tag between robots. The team has received grant funding from St. Jude Medical Foundation for another year and will be holding organizational meetings in September to get ready for the upcoming season. New members are welcome.
