Chisago Lakes opened the season with a big victory over the North St. Paul Polars last week in a pre-Thanksgiving showdown.
The two teams are developing quite the rivalry, as they’ve played each other three years in a row now, with the Wildcats coming out on top in each encounter.
Carter Duncan led all scorers with 15 points, Dylan Wood added 11 and Jake Lindquist had 10 points to pace the Wildcats.
Monticello Tournament
The Wildcats then swept two St. Cloud area teams in the Monticello Tournament over Thanksgiving. They topped St. Cloud Tech in their opening game 46-38 on Friday, Nov. 28 before toppling St. Cloud Apollo 62-54 on Saturday, November 29.

Another defensive masterpiece upped the ‘Cats record to 4-0 on the season and left them brimming with confidence.
Sophomore guard Trevin Nelson led the balanced offensive attack with 12 points. Senior guard Will Gillach chipped in 10 points and Duncan and Ethan Hickcox had nine each.
The Wildcats will stay on the road now until 2015. They travel to Duluth Denfeld Friday, Dec. 5. They’ll stay over night and then take on Hibbing Saturday, Dec. 6.
After the northern double dip, the ‘Cats take on heated county rival North Branch on Tuesday Dec. 16, at North Branch. The Vikings opened the season with a 28-point loss to Irondale last week.
