The theme for I Love to Read Month at Lakeside Elementary School was the 2014 Olympics,  and one of the contests that makes the month a special fun time for the students was guessing the true identities of disguised teachers. There were 33 staff who dressed as Olympic contestants, almost fully covered by ski goggles, helmets and other heavy outdoor gear. Their photos were posted in the school hallway and kids who successfully guessed the most identities correctly enjoyed pizza lunch with Principal Sara Johnson in her office.

A variety or prizes and incentives reward students during the reading promotion and the Book Fair is happening.  Lakeside School holds its “Closing Ceremonies” today, March 6, including a fun-to-watch teacher obstacle course. The following students had a pizza with Mrs. Johnson: 3rd grade: Emma Norton, Sydney Haus, Kayla Johnson, Hattie Killeen, Ruby Dircks, Camerson Glenna, Gavin Funk, Carson Sander, Peighton Carlson, Cody Smith.  4th grade: Ashley Loehlein, Sarah Dubina, Emylee Suess-Wesen, Morgan Schmidt, Paige Kedrowski, Austyn Stilp, Bella Aldrich, Ryan Zaruba, Reed Marquardt, Greta Gillach, Abigail Lopez.  5th grade: Haley Lewis, Karley Mether, Katy Marquardt, Sara Penzenstadler, Chloe Zupko, Anika Zins, Jadyn Nye, Ayda Goehring, Reagan Triplett, Bellemy Chaika.
