Bruce was united in marriage to Irene Mae Harland on June 15th, 1947 at Henrytown Lutheran Church in Henrytown, Minnesota. He continued to farm until 1958 when his health forced him to look for other employment. He attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a major in Food Science and Technology with a Dairy Specialization. He worked for Green Giant as a plant manager in Glencoe, Minnesota for several years before accepting a position with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture as an inspector for the Dairy Division. He later became responsible for the interstate shipment of milk to other areas of the country. Bruce retired in 1993 and has lived in the Lindstrom area since that time.
Irene died in 1995 and in 1997 Bruce married Patricia Horgen. They lived in Lindstrom and made the Lakes Free Evangelical Church their church home. Bruce enjoyed reading and remained connected to his agricultural roots through gardening. He enjoyed working with wood and made numerous pieces of furniture. Bruce completed all of the inside finishing work when he built his home in Glencoe and built an A-Frame lake cabin on Lake Amelia near Villard, Minnesota.
Bruce Arnold Marzolf was called home to be with his Lord on September 7th, 2014 after an illness in the hospital in Onamia, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Viola Marzolf; his first wife Irene Marzolf and his second wife Patricia Marzolf.
Bruce is survived by his son, Robert Marzolf; daughter Virginia Rosenbaum; grandson, James Marzolf; granddaughter, Sarah Christensen; grandson, Chris Babcock; granddaughter Arielle Rosenbaum; grandson, Michael Rosenbaum; great-grandson Kevin Marzolf; great-granddaughter Lauren Marzolf; great-granddaughter Ella Christensen; great granddaughter Greta Christensen; and great-granddaughter, Anna Christensen.
Funeral Services Monday, September 15, 2014 at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery in Preston, Minnesota. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com
