Marcia Carpenter, (called Marcie), of St. Paul, MN, passed away on September 14, 2014 at the age of 69. Marcia fought a long battle with cancer. Marcia was born to parents Albert and Daisy Davis in Pueblo, Colorado on June 3, 1945. Marcia, along with her parents, her grandfather and her eight brothers and sisters, moved to Milaca, MN in 1952. Marcia married LuVerne Carpenter and they had two children. Marcia and Vern divorced and Marcia moved to the Chisago Lakes Area near her parents.

She lived here for many years before moving to St. Paul, MN. Marcia was a nurses aid. Marcia is preceded in death by her biological father, Albert Roy Davis, mother Daisy Engelbrecht; stepfather Alvin Engelbrecht; brothers Ora Davis (Janice) and Gerald Davis; grandparents on both sides of her family. Marcia has an uncle on her father’s side living in Texas, Hoover Davis. Marcia is survived by her significant other, Donald Martin; daughter Carla Dee Johnson (Todd Erickson) of Pine City, MN; son, Blake LuVerne Carpenter, (Donna) of Bock, MN; grandchildren Joshua Michael Johnson of Pine City, MN, Krista Kay Cooper of Milaca, MN; sisters Barbara Fredrickson (Dale) of Lindstrom, MN; Joyce McGlothin of Lebanon, MO and Sharon Samuelson (Dewey) of Pine City, MN; brother Stanley Davis of Spirit Lake, Idaho; many aunts, uncles and cousins, other family and many friends.

Marcie will be missed by her family and many friends. Marcia is donating her body to the University of Minnesota for cancer research. Marcia will be buried with her mother at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, MN when the research is complete.
